Road Users Are Encouraged To Exercise Patience This Weekend

With the world-renowned Powercor Melbourne to Warrnambool Cycling Classic coming to the south west this weekend, motorists are reminded to take care on the roads with many cyclists on the roads as well as a number of delays expected as well as road closures.

As a part of the cycling festival on Saturday, Raglan Parade westbound will be closed between Banyan Street and Liebig Street from 7:30am until 5:30pm with diversions in place.

Between 11am and 4:30pm, from Flaxman Street and Kepler Street will be closed as the Port Campbell to Warrnambool race finishes up.

Traffic controllers will be able to help vehicles cross Raglan Parade at certain access points at Kelp Street, Japan Street and Foster Street.

Viaduct Road will be blocked off to traffic on Sunday due to a series of criterium races between 7am and 2pm, The Viaduct Road/Stanley Street/Pertobe Road roundabout will be managed by traffic controllers during this time. Free parking will be available for people attending the criterium events at the Shipwreck Bay Holiday Park.

Finally, managing road closures will be taking place along the Melbourne to Warrnambool race route which will be managed by Victoria Police. Short delays are expected.
