GWV Rebels announce squad for 2021 NAB League Girls Season

The Greater Western Victoria Rebels have announced their squad of 35 players, who will represent the club and the wider region in the fast approaching NAB League season.

Nine emerging footballers from the South West have been picked in the squad, which will be narrowed down to a side to play it's first match this weekend.

Among those selected is South Warrnambool pair Stella Bridgewater and Rosie Pickles, Hamilton Kangaroos' exports Mitzi Adamson and Paige Kissel, along with Elli Aitken (Portland Tigers) and Grace Wareham (Terang/Mortlake).

Horsham has also supplied it's fair share of talent, with Ella Caris, Stephanie Glover and Ella Friend all selected, while Kate Tomkins will represent Casterton-Sandford.

"I’m really excited to see how our Girls develop throughout the 2021 NAB League season" said GWV Rebels Head Coach, David Loader.

"The level of improvement already during the short period we have been training as impressed myself and our other Coaching Staff”.

The squad has come together under match play conditions in recent weeks and participated in the NAB League Girls Testing Day last weekend with pleasing results.

The GWV Rebels Girls start their season this Sunday at Deakin University, Geelong, against the Geelong Falcons starting at 11am.

The full squad can be seen below.
