Complimentary Dining Permits Issued To Help Businesses Boost Capacity

The Moyne Shire Council has issued 15 local businesses with complimentary outdoor dining permits, in the hopes supporting to the hospitality industry and reignite patronage within local food outlets.

For some the permits mark a new foray, whilst for others the freshly allocated permits will afford the chance to get creative with their space to boost capacity.

Moyne Shire CEO, Bill Millard said Council will continue to work with and support local businesses as they recover from the impacts of the pandemic.

“We hope the issuing of these outdoor dining permits at no cost to the businesses enables them to think outside the square and be innovative with their dining options,” Mr Millard said.

“We can’t wait to see the Shire at its buzzing best again, benefitting the community in all forms, seating configurations are able to be extended beyond footpath dining and into car parking or other public spaces should it be of benefit both the business needs and locality.

“From the construction of marquees to courtyard-esque synthetic grass flooring, Council invites local businesses to really consider how they can adapt to maximize how many people they can have at their premises.

“Get creative, consider your options, and most of all, have fun with it, we are a resilient, appealing, and resourceful community and this is the perfect platform to display this.”
