Motorbike Impounded Following Levy's Beach Incident

An 18-year-old Ararat man will be summonsed to appear before court, after an incident in Warrnambool over the weekend.

Police were called to Levy's Beach Carpark at around 1:30pm on Saturday, following reports that a number of people were on motorbikes driving erratically, spraying dirt and debris on horse riders and walkers.

Police attended and located an 18 year old Ararat man leaving Levy's Beach with a PeeWee 110 on the back of a ute.

He told police he had purchased the bike for $2200 at 11am that morning, along with a helmet and goggles.

Police swiftly impounded his motorbike and he will be summonsed to appear for unlicensed riding, as well as breaching CHO directions for failing to stay home.

He will also have to pay $1100 in 30 days, to have his motorbike returned from the impound yard.
