Jordan Lewis retires after 15 year career

Warrnambool's Jordan Lewis has announced he will hang up his boots on an amazing AFL football career after this weekend's game.

Jordan says he's had an incredible 15 year career playing at the top level with many personal highlights including four AFL premierships with Hawthorn

The 33 year old addressed the Melbourne football players Tuesday morning and said it was time to make it official.

Jordan has played 318 games in total between Hawthorn and Melbourne and will line up for his final game this weekend against North Melbourne in Tasmania.

He was drafted with pick No.7 in the 2004 National Draft to Hawthorn alongside mates Jarryd Roughhead and Buddy Franklin.

Addressing the players Jordan said “From the bottom of my heart I just want to thank everyone at Melbourne, and everyone at Hawthorn that have provided me with so many memories that I will cherish forever,”.
