Warrnambool's Marc Leishman Chips In For Aus Fires

Marc Leishman has done his bit for bushfire relief efforts whilst competing at the PGA's Sony Open in Hawaii.

The Warrnambool export was joined by a group of fellow Australian golfers, including eventual winner Cameron Smith, in pledging $500 per birdie and $1000 per eagle during the tournament.

Leishman also set up a section of his Begin Again Foundation to accept donations for bushfire relief, which is nearing $10,000.

During his four rounds Leishman was able to knock in 14 birdies through challenging course conditions, while he also collected an eagle during his final round.

The international team from the President's Cup jumped in to support there teammate, announcing a donation of $125,000 from their Presidents Cup charity fund.

The PGA Tour also vowed to match all player donations dollar for dollar throughout the tournament, up to $125,000.
