Performance numbers drop through May
V-LINE is blaming temporary speed restrictions for a drop in performance on the Warrnambool train line.
Last month, 72.9 per cent of services arrived at their destination on time.
V-LINE says another reason for the late-running services was trains stopping at stations longer than scheduled.
This week until Friday road coaches are replacing trains on the Warrnambool line while it's upgraded.
The news comes off the back of South West Coast MP Roma Britnell expressing her disappointment that full upgrades to the Warrnambool rail line won't be completed until 2020.
Ms Britnell says Canberra has provided $114 Million the state government with Labor earlier claiming they'd done the groundwork to get the project started.
However she says local passengers face two more years of speed restrictions and delays.
