Co-ordinator Dedy Frieby says local supermarkets, schools, businesses, and the general public have rallied to give the local not for profit organisation a helping hand.

He says they've also received financial support recently from two Fletcher Jones trusts, to the tune of 20 thousand dollars.

Warrnambool & District Foodshare is a free service and is run as a not for profit entity. They rely entirely on the goodwill and contributions of the regional community they serve. Staffed primarily by volunteers Foodshare provides much needed emergency food assistance to families in need.

Inaugurated by Foodbank Vic in 2013 they have steadily grown and expanded to provide a service to regional towns of Warrnambool, Hamilton, Portland, and Camperdown and everywhere in between.

Foodbank Vic continues to support the weekly operations with generous food donations along with a growing network of involved people and organisations right across the South West.
