The 42nd Port Fairy Folk Festival has once again been declared a huge success with the township welcoming tens of thousands of visitors over the long weekend.
Main arena marquees were packed with performances including Australian artists Shane Howard, The Black Sorrows, and Troy Cassar Daley.
While out in the streets visitors were treated to free performances on the Fiddlers Green, the Rail Way Station stage, and on street corners.
Restaurants and cafes were kept busy feeding the crowds and local pups were packed with folkie revelers.
Director Carolyn Moore says the international line up of artists was again outstanding.
She also sang the praises of the thousands of volunteers who give up their time to make the festival what it is.
The Governor of Victoria also toured the Festival site over the weekend and mingled with the crowd.
Port Fairy has once again been the mecca for music over the long weekend with many visitors returning annually to this world renowned event.
