UPDATE: Police apprehend driver

UPDATE:

A driver involved in a hit and run at Ecklin South has been apprehended by police Thursday afternoon, after fleeing the scene of a collision on Monday.

The 49 year male driver of a Land Cruiser ute failed to give way at the intersection of the Cobden-Warrnambool Road and Ayersford Road, t-boning the rear tyre of a prime mover.

After spinning around and hitting the rear of the vehicle, and receiving significant damage to his own vehicle, the man fled the scene.

The truck incurred minimal damage, but was unable to drive from the area. No injuries resulted from the collision.

The man has been charged pending summons and will appear at the Warrnambool Magistrates Court at a later date.

Terang Police members thanked a member of the public who recognised the vehicle in question.

Earlier this week, a vehicle was involved in a collision with a milk tanker in the Ecklin South area. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop after the collision.

Police wish to speak with the driver of the pictured vehicle as they may have important information regarding the collision.
