Dob In A Dealer Launched

New Campaign Launched To Disrupt Regional Drug Dealers

Residents of Warrrnambool and the surrounding region are being asked to help Crime Stoppers and Victoria Police disrupt the illicit manufacture and distribution of drugs in the south west by simply reporting anything they might know or hear about drug offences.

The campaign is called Dob In A Dealer and is a nation wide effort, funded by the Federal Government, to help bring about an end to the supply chain of illegal drugs such as ice, cocaine, MDMA and heroin.

At the campaign's launch in Warrnambool on Friday, Crime Stoppers Victoria representative Srithar Visuasam reminded the public of the pivotal role they can play in circumventing the drug supply in Warrnambool.

“Crimial drug activity is not only resulting in millions of dollars spent on healthcare and law enforcement, but it is tragically and unnecessarily costing human lives.”

Inspector Gary Coombes reinforced the importance of community involvement when addressing the supply chain of illicit drugs.

“Through Dob in a Dealer, we are not asking you to tell on your friends. We are asking you to support those you care about by submitting your anonymous reports through Crime Stoppers.

“The safety of the Warrnambool community is paramount to us. Any information you have regarding the supply and distribution of illicit drugs can help to keep our residents safe”
