Police After Assistance Regarding Two Camperdown Burglaries

Police are seeking public assistance after two similar burglaries in the Camperdown area.

Offenders forced entry by cutting a padlock on a green-keeper's machinery shed at the Camperdown Bowling Club in Thornton Street, sometime between the evening of July 4th and early morning of July 5th.

Several handheld powertools were taken, including electric drills, an angle grinder, hammer drill, cordless drill, impact drill and an air compressor. The estimated value of all stolen items is in the ball park of $2,500.

A volunteer group's boat shed at Lake Bullen Merri has also had it's padlock snapped sometime between July 2nd and July 5th.

Thieves have taken a chainsaw and whippersnipper, estimated to value in at a cumulative $2,000.

Both places did not have CCTV or security, with Crime Scene Forensic Unit results pending.
