City to be showcased on new golf TV show

Picturesque scenes from Warrnambool will be broadcast to thousands of golf-lovers around Australia, with an episode of Your Golf Show based in the city to premiere tonight on Fox Sports and Kayo.

Your Golf Show, hosted by former PGA Tour Professional Paul Gow and Golf Enthusiast Bree Laughlin, is a golf show focused on Where to Play, How to Play and What to Play.

In this feature episode Paul and Bree play the stunning coastal Warrnambool Golf Club and chat to both Marc and Paul Leishman.

In addition to playing golf, Bree visits a number of the city's popular tourism locations, including the Deep Blue Hot Springs and the Logans Beach whale viewing platform.

Reflecting on the trip Paul Gow said that he enjoyed exploring regional Australian towns to play golf and see what else they had in store.

“As a golf lover, I enjoy nothing more than heading out to play a variety of courses and meet some of the community,” he said.

“This town has a close connection with the Leishman family with Marc representing the town so wonderfully on the world stage"

“We had a great time in Warrnambool, we will definitely be back in the near future.”

Warrnambool Mayor Cr Vicki Jellie said that she was looking forward to seeing the city featured on the show.

“More than 380,000 people across Australia are members of golf clubs, and when you factor in people who enjoy the game on a more casual basis, it really is a big participation sport,” she said.

“It's excellent to have Warrnambool’s golf facilities, as well as our other tourism attractions, accommodation providers and local restaurants broadcast to a national audience"

"It will hopefully lead to more people throwing the clubs in the back of the car, coming to our city and enjoying all it has to offer.”

The show goes live on Fox Sports 503 and Kayo at 8.30pm on Tuesday July 6.
