Erratic Driving Concerns Police

Warrnambool Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward, after a vehicle was observed driving erratically on Saturday night (March 13).

Police would like to hear from anyone who saw the offending vehicle, a white Mitsubishi Sedan, in the vicinity of Otway Road just after 8pm.

Acting Senior Sergeant Dean Greenwood, says officers observed the vehicle running a red light, before the same vehicle has collided with a fence on Otway Road, at around 8:10pm.

"We've had a marked police car behind that vehicle, who observed the driver go through the red light, the red traffic control signal" he said.

"Police have attempted to intercept, but due to the erratic nature of the vehicle and the way it was driven, police have disengaged as the risk far outweighed the reward"

"So they have let that vehicle go, then come across it a couple of hundred metres down the road, where it's crashed into a fence in Otway Road, so really disturbing behaviour by that driver".

Anyone with information, who witnessed the incident, or has dashcam footage is asked to contact Warrnambool Police, or Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
